Over the years, Valentine’s Day has become a national holiday of sorts, especially for the film industry. The collections on this day go on a high, especially if the film has something that appeals the youth. In the recent past, films like Gully Boy and Gunday released on February 14 in 2014 and 2019 respectively and both the films saw excellent collections. This year will see the release of Love Aaj Kal , starring Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan, and it also expected to fetch a flying start, one of the reasons being Valentine’s Day. Today, it came to light that Sara Ali Khan will arrive in cinemas on Valentine’s Day 2021 as well. The film in question is Atrangi Re , co-starring Akshay Kumar and Dhanush. The announcement of Anubhav Sinha's upcoming movie Thappad starring Tapsee Pannu recently raked up the excitement amongst the audience. The film will be releasing on the 28th of February and to give us the shivers, the makers today released the first look poster featuring Tapsee Pannu, struggling and agitated by the looks of it. Sports biopic have fast become a rather bankable genre when it comes to the box office. However, the biopic on Indian hockey player Dhyan Chand that has been announced for a while now has been facing a hard time taking off. After numerous names were attached to the film, we now hear that Ronnie Screwvala has roped in Abhishek Chaubey to write and direct the venture. Apparently, Chaubey along with his team of writers will begin reworking on the story of the film, while piecing together the life of Dhyan Chand to analyse which portions can be adapted to film. Speaking to me on Thursday morning Javed Saab said, “Shabana is completely recovered now. She has been fully healed for some time now. But the doctors decided to keep her under observation in hospital for a few days extra and I completely agreed with them. She is now ready to return home. We are bringing her home on Friday morning.” For Shabana the accident was a terrible brake on her busy schedule. Prior to the accident she had been shooting in Budapest. Ranveer Singh and Yash Raj Films are coming together on what he has called ‘a miracle script’ penned by debutant writer-director Divyang Thakkar. After Boman Irani, who is set to play Ranveer's father in the film, veteran actress Ratna Pathak Shah has been roped for the role of his mother in Jayeshbhai Jordaar . Divyang Thakkar was one of the proteges of Ratna Pathak Shah in theatre and was keen on bringing her on board for the film. Ratna said that a young actor approached her a few months ago with a script. She said that actors making movies can be tricky so she began reading the script and was thoroughly entertained by the end of it. She said that the story not only had a message but also has a heart. Bollywood Hungama was first to inform that Sara Ali Khan has been roped in alongside Dhanush for Aanand L Rai's next directorial. In recent times, rumours were rife that Akshay Kumar has joined the cast too. Now, the film has been announced starring the three actors which is titled Atrangi Re . Filmmaker Aanand L Rai said that it takes a secure actor like Akshay to do such a role. He said that the actor is always pushing the envelope and ready for challenges. On casting Sara and Dhanush as a pair, Aanand added that the fans will enjoy this new pairing as they bring freshness to the big screen. Dancer and choreographer Ganesh Acharya alleged that senior dancer Saroj Khan conspired against him and harboured corruption in the industry. Acharya's statement comes after an assistant female choreographer reportedly filed a case against him accusing of harassment. "This is the conspiracy against me to malign my image; there are people like Saroj Khan and her colleagues who are doing corruption in the industry. Their business has flopped as I have entered the association," said Acharya in a statement. "I will file a defamation case against Saroj Khan and her team who are defaming me and stooping so low to do that, they are doing this because their business has gone in vain they used to earn money sitting at home illegally and I am against it so will put all my efforts to fight against them," he added. Ajay Devgn is set to essay the role of squadron leader Vijay Karnik in his next film, Bhuj: The Pride of India. The film also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Sharad Kelkar, Nora Fatehi, Sanjay Dutt, Ammy Virk among others. Post the release of the trailer of Imtiaz Ali's upcoming film Love Aaj Kal, viewers took notice of the other leading lady of the film. The film which stars Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan, introduces Arushi Sharma in her first film as a leading lady. She had previously made a cameo in Imtiaz's 2015 rom-com Tamasha . While talking to a tabloid, Arushi revealed that acting was never on the cards for her. Arushi, who is from Himachal Pradesh said that there was no active theatre scene there. It was only when Imtiaz Ali was in her college in Shimla to do a recee for Tamasha did she audition for the part of Sanjukta.
