Fankind, a celebrity fundraising platform has started a fundraiser to help give cash in hand to migrant workers and daily wagers (like cobblers, tailors, construction workers etc) who are out of a job due to coronavirus and therefore cannot afford to pay their rent or feed their families. Shabana Azmi returned from Budapest on March 15 and went in for self-imposed quarantine ever since. In an interview with a daily, Shaban spoke about the accident and her recovery. Talking about the accident she met with a few weeks ago on the Mumbai-Pune highway, she said that she was sleeping at the back of the car because she and Javed had stayed up till early morning celebrating the latter’s birthday. Javed Akhtar was in another car ahead of her with his cousin Dr Sumbul Warsi and her husband Nawab. They were on their way to Sukoon in Khandala when a truck rammed into her car. Singer Sonu Nigam was forced to extend his stay in Dubai due to the coronavirus pandemic. The singer has now set up a makeshift studio at his residential area in Dubai. Talking to a tabloid, Sonu Nigam revealed that he has bought equipment to set up his studio so that he can spend his time immersed in music. He also bought a piano to polish his skills. Katrina Kaif was all but finalized for the female lead in Vikas Bahl’s next. But then a day after the announcement she apparently denied saying yes to the project. Sources say Katrina had indeed been finalized for Bahl’s film. But she had not anticipated a backlash. Vikas, it may be recalled, had been accused of sexual misconduct two years ago by an employee of Phantom Films of which Bahl was one of the helmers.
