The 54th edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will be hosted in Goa from November 20th to 28th. While more than 250 films are being showcased across the various sections of the festival, all eyes are set on the gala opening ceremony being hosted on November 20th at Shamaprasad Indoor Stadium, Panaji, Goa. The actress has sold her properties measuring 2,292 square feet (sq ft) for a whopping Rs. 6 crore in the Andheri area of Mumbai. As per a report in Money Control, Priyanka Chopra’s two penthouses are located at the Lokhandwala Complex in Oshiwara, Andheri in Mumbai. The first penthouse measures around 860 sq ft, and is on a higher floor. It was sold for Rs 2.25 crore. The second penthouse, which measures 1,432 sq ft, was reportedly sold at Rs 3.75 crore, as per the documents obtained by the publication. In a legal battle surrounding the film Nyay: The Justice, allegedly based on the life of Sushant Singh Rajput, the Delhi High Court has scheduled a hearing for February 12, 2024, in response to a plea by the late actor's father, Krishna Kishore Singh. This follows the court's prior refusal to stay the movie's telecast in July and Singh's subsequent appeal against the denial to restrain its online streaming in August. According to an IANS report, a division bench comprising Justices Yashwant Varma and Ravinder Dudeja has granted time to all concerned parties to submit their replies in the matter. Vijay Varma has had a terrific 2023 with some fine performances under his belt in shows like Dahaad and Kalkoot and the web movie Jaane Jaan, which also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat. He has now bagged another major project where he will be paired opposite Fatima Sana Shaikh for the first time. The film, which is yet untitled, will also star Naseeruddin Shah in a pivotal role. The court of the Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities (CCPD) has issued a notice to the producers of the Hindi film Aankh Micholi and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) seeking a reply on the content allegedly mocking various types of disabilities in the film. As per a report by Times Of India, the notice was issued on November 11, 2023, by deputy chief commissioner (disabilities), PP Ambashta to the directors of the companies involved in the production of the film. A reply has also been sought from the CEO of the CBFC and the secretary of the information and broadcasting ministry. The notice states that the CCPD has taken cognisance of the fact that the film mocks disabilities specified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, such as speech and language disability, hearing impairment, visual impairment, and intellectual disability.
